For years, I thought the darkness in my life was simply about hiding.
But I’ve come to understand that underneath so much of it was something deeper: disconnection.
The real me was disconnected from the life I was living. Being closeted was disconnection. Shame was disconnection. And eventually, alcohol became another way of escaping the terror of connecting the real me to the real world.
The more I hid, the more things I had to hide.
In Episode 6 of Light Heals, I’m talking about what happens when those worlds finally meet — when we stop pretending, risk being seen, and begin learning how to live as one whole person.
Healing doesn’t always mean becoming someone new.
Sometimes healing begins when we finally become connected to who we really are.
Episode 6: What Happens When You Stop Hiding?
